Team Rector, Revd Andy Lindop, led the Bury Deanery Advent Carol Service at St Philip Stubbins on Advent Sunday.  

Before declaring the branch closed, Andy gave thanks for the work done by Mothers' Union members in the parish of St Philip's and beyond, over the past 83 years. 

Members from the deanery, with Deanery Leaders, Lynne Longworth and Romey Simpson; Archdeaconry President, Peggie Gathergood; and Diocesan President, Barbara Taylor, shared mince pies and a celebration cake, with sherry and fruit juice.

The remaining branch members will be Indoor members or move to another branch in the Ramsbottom and Edenfield Team Ministry.
