The Bishop of Manchester invited Barbara Taylor to be an honorary lay canon "in recognition of her significant ministry in the Diocese and beyond".

Barbara's licensing by the Bishop and Installation by the Dean took place at Manchester Cathedral during evensong on February 1st 2015.
