Roger Royle, known to millions for his regular appearances on Terry Wogan’s radio breakfast show, is to appear at the Manchester Diocese Evening of Celebration. The event takes place at 7.30pm on 1st June at the Bridgewater Hall and is hosted by Manchester Mothers’ Union.
Mothers’ Union President, Barbara Taylor, said: “I am delighted that Roger, a personality with an inter-national reputation for fun and an ability to move an audience, has accepted our invitation to appear. The Evening of Celebration should be great fun-lots of singing and laughs, lots of news and stories, lots of celebrating the faith and friendship that bonds us all together.”
Roger Royle said; “I love and know Manchester well. I am looking forward to supporting the event and meeting some old friends. With proceeds going towards the Relief Fund-what could be better-a fun night out which supports a good cause!”
Other celebrity guests include the Smithills School Senior Band with some hymns conducted by the Bishop of Manchester.
All proceeds go to the Mothers' Union Relief Fund.
