Made in heaven is an exhibition at Manchester Cathedral during National Marriage Week, 6-14 February 2010. It will celebrate marriage across the faith communities of Greater Manchester. The communities involved include Anglicans and Roman Catholics, Hindus, Jews, Muslims and Sikhs.
The Lord Mayor of Manchester and her consort and the Mayors and Mayoresses of Salford and Bury will attend the Launch by the Bishop of Middleton, on Monday 8 February at 7pm.
Events during the week will include, on Thursday 11 February at 7pm, a Question and Answer session, chaired by the Archdeacon of Bolton, with polititians and faith leaders.
The Lord Lieutenant, High Sheriff and Mrs Wewer together with the Mayors and Mayoresses of Bury and Tameside, the Mayor of Oldham and Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton will attend a Thanksgiving, led by the Bishop of Manchester and other faith leaders, at 3pm on Sunday 14 February.
Anne and Tony Hobbs, who contribute articles about their marriage and its trials in Families First (a lifestyle magazine from Mothers' Union for people who care about families) have agreed to be interviewed. Indian Dancers will also perform during the service.
