Stars shine out in Salford

The Mayor and Mayoress of Salford, Councillor and Mrs Wilson led the celebrations with the Mayor cutting a cake decorated with  the worldwide logo. 

All present were invited to place a star on a map of the archdeaconry whilst those from Bolton, Manchester and Rochdale archdeaconries who were there to lend support were not forgotten - they were invited to use the margins where the map did not extend far enough.  "You are all stars," said Mrs Jill Crofton, Archdeaconry President.

Celebrations included worship, food, displays, information, fun and fellowship.  Watch out for full reports in the next edition of Cymbal - published 1 August.
