Members in England and Wales are asked if they would like to respond to a new UK Government consultation on equal civil marriage for same-sex couples. This includes changing the existing definition of marriage to include same-sex people as well as enabling individuals to legally change their gender without having to end their existing marriage.

Mthers' Union is making an organisational response and would value the opinions of members in order to represent their voices accurately.


The attached document details the Government’s proposals and relevant information, with prayers and 9 questions to fill in and return to Mary Sumner House by 11th May 2012.
