Published: 20 August 2012

Goodshaw Chapel (Goodshaw Lane, BB4 8DD) is the only non-conformist place of worship maintained by English Heritage.

You are invited to hear something of its history and soak up the atmosphere of this 18th century chapel, which is set in glorious countryside.

Then cross the road to Goodshaw Church, wHere Wesley preached from the churchyeard wall, for a 'Wesley' hymn sing. Afternoon tea will be served in the parish room.

All this for just £5.

Members of Bolton Archdeaconry invite you to join them at 2 p.m. on Friday, 31 August.
