Palm Sunday in Baghdad

Published: 17 April 2011

• Palm Sunday:

It has been more than incredible today. With over a thousand people we worshiped with great joy. We processed for half an hour around the church compound. No longer can we have one congregation to fit all the people today we had five. All the meetings outside the church were for women and children and each led by Mothers Union members. We all came together for the procession and communion. Today apart from the regular relief groceries we also gave a lot of extra things to the widows and there children. Easter is bigger by far than Christmas here and we were able to give all wonderful gifts.

Hosanna becomes real to us all as we celebrate that we have been saved now and we worship our Lord.

Let us pray for Andrew and all his congregation.
